I hope the devs state their intentions soon or post something about this issue.Īfter finishing a round with Easy AI (EASY) it said in the mission debriefing "Difficulty: Normal" (should be "Easy"), so somethings not right with the difficulty/AI. Still, Easy AI is much easier tricked and starved and no challenge in the long run (just the first 5 to 15min), but nevertheless much harder now. Fighting against Easy AI was way easier, but altogether somewhat more challenging as fighting Hard AI (pre update/DLC). The problem that the enemy does "more damage" is still there but not every time. Only if I annihilated the enemy squads I was able to keep my "level" above them. Several times I was fighting "elite" enemies, while I just had one elite squad and the rest was Rank one or even without a rank. Somehow, even if I loose no units (aka just get damage) and the enemy gets "more losses" than me, he gets equal or even more XP. It seems that the units also get faster XP. (I always found the campaign AI useless hard (even with almost no resources, they could deploy mech after mech - it was just stupid) but this takes it even to another level entirely!) Somehow the update broke the game really hard and like it is now, it takes all the fun.

Even two Mechs vs 1 squad can not kill them (before they successfully flee).Īlso, while I almost kill one mech of theirs, my mechs (yes 2 vs 1!!) still get damaged to around 66% - and somehow they are able to escape and come back with full health while my get killed on the way back. Not even with an Anti Infantry Mech I am able to kill them. But even on the open field, we both have 2 rifle squads and 1 engineer group, they do around 50% MORE damage - in the time 2 of my squads drop to 33% health, their squads do not drop below 66%.

And even if I nearly kill the units they almost ALL make it back to base, so there is no forthcoming. Not only is the AI WAY to fast/aggressive (building and attacking wise) but also even with just 3/10 points on the map (I hold the other 5 to 7) they deploy almost TWO times the number of units. I was doing fights against hard AI (like in easy, normal, hard, insane) easily before this update (even multiple), but now it is almost impossible (for me it is so far).
